Jennifer E. Whitchurch, M.A.
Jennifer, office manager of Advanced Eyecare Professionals, has been involved in
the field of optometric care for eight years. She has been practicing as
a medical assistant for nine years and specializes in friendly patient care.
She is very excited to be working in Oak Lawn, where she was raised. She
attended Oak Lawn Community High School where she learned the value of teamwork
while on the girl's basketball and track teams. She was involved with shot put
and discus for the "4 year in a row" SICA North Conference Champs. She
graduated with math and science majors in 1992.
Jennifer knew the medical field was for her after an accident left her Father
with third degree burns on his forearms, for which she nursed him back to
health. Unfortunately her Father died the next year from Cancer, which inspired
her to pursue a career in to the Medical Field. Jennifer decided to attend Robert
Morris College in Orland Park, where she earned her Medical Assisting degree
and graduated in 1995. Jennifer believes in hard work as well as continuing
education. In May of 2002 she completed classes for a Paraoptometric Certificate
with Indiana University. She is currently working on continuing her
education by becoming a Certified Paraoptometric. Jennifer is a member of the Illinois
Paraoptometric Society and the Paraoptometric section of the American
Optometric Association.
Jennifer is very excited to work for Advanced Eyecare Professionals, with one of
its goals being to give back to the community. She looks forward to working to
improve the community as well as helping people. One lesson she learned
from her Grandmother was no matter what you are going through in your life,
there may be someone out there with a worse situation who may need help.
Jennifer currently resides in Orland Park and loves to spend time with her
niece Mackenzie.
